Met hul eerste besoek aan ons beeldskone Oranje Rivier gedeelte naby Onspeekans was hulle net soos ons, met die eerste oogopslag verlief en kon met opgewondenheid deel dat die Stroomop film sy \u201chuis\u201d gevind het.<\/p>\n<p>Die Stroomop verfilming in hierdie afgele\u00eb area, sonder enige elektrisiteit, behuising, badkamer geriewe of jou gewone \u201cstad\u201d bederfies het natuurlik sy eie uitdagings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meer oor die &#8220;Stroomop&#8221; roete: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die SA Forest Adventure Oranje Rivier roei roete bestaan hoofsaaklik uit 4 dae en 3 nagte. Elke dag ervaar jy nuwe asemrowende landskappe soos jy roei deur die rustigheid van die natuur. Na `n dag se roei slaan ons kamp op en geniet `n gesellige atmosfeer met `n kampvuur en heerlike kos. Daar is ook swem en visvang geleentheid. Na `n beeldskone sonsondergang kan jy gereed maak vir die helderste sterre wag en melkweg van die Kalahari, `n absolute fees vir die o\u00eb.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<style van Onseepkans. Hier pak ons almal se bote en ons leer mekaar ken. Die SA Forest Adventure Rivier gidse gaan deur die veiligheids prosedures en verduidelik al die \u201cmoet\u2019s en moenie\u2019s\u201d. Op dag een leer ons almal basies die tegniek hoe om te roei en ons pak \u2018n roete van +\/-7km aan na ons kamp plek vir die aand, langs die oewer van die magtige Oranje Rivier.\u00a0 Ons kamp plek hier is onder `n paar bome en langs `n gedeelte van die rivier, waar `n groot klip bank vir die kinders `n geleentheid bied om veilig te swem in vlak water, onder die wakende o\u00eb van hul ouers wat vo\u00ebltjies wat sing en die rustige vloei van water in die agtergrond wag `n lekker koppie koffie en ontbyt om energie te werf vir die dag wat voorl\u00ea. Na ontbyt pak ons op en laai die bote. Van hier af beweeg ons weg van enige samelewing af.\u00a0 Die oop wye Oranje Rivier raak ook nouer en later die dag baie nouer, met kranse wat tot honderd meters bo ons uitstyg. Tydens dag twee is daar ook 3 tot 5 \u201crapids\u201d wat ons aanpak, hulle is gemaklik en vreeslik baie pret, net genoeg om daardie adrenalien vlakke te prikkel.\u00a0 Teen laat middag bereik ons die Oranje Rivier Watervalle. Dit is volgens ons, die mees asemrowendste gedeelte van die hele 2200Km rivier. Bitter min mense kry geleentheid om die valle te besoek aangesien toegang net moontlik is deur daarna\u00a0 te roei of deur `n 50km stap roete.\u00a0Die valle bied ook fantastiese visvang geleentheid.\u00a0Hierdie aand slaap ons op die rots bank v\u00ear bo die rivier naby die watervalle.\u00a0 Dit is ook die hoogste punt vir `n besonderse sterre kyk. Aangesien geen lug besoedeling hier naby plaasvind nie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dag 3: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nuwe dag en nuwe roete met sy eie mooi l\u00ea voor. Na `n heerlike kamp ontbyt pak ons op en sak al die toerusting en bote sowat 30 tot 40 meter in die kranse af na die rivier onder.\u00a0Tydens dit neem een van ons rivier gidse almal vir `n rustige stappie na die watervalle.\u00a0Na die stap, loop almal met die kranse af tot by die rivier en ons klim op ons bote. Ons roei eerste `n paar meter op, tot aan die einde van die valle om vir almal laastens perspektief te gee oor hoe onbeskryflik mooi en uniek die area is.\u00a0Net sowat 500 meter later kom ons by die w\u00eareld bekende \u201cBig Bunny rapid\u201d. Dit is `n goeie klas 3\/4\u00a0rapid wat bietjie meer uitdagend is. Ons besluit dan wie, en hoe ons hom gaan roei. Daar is gelukkig uitweg vir die wat besluit om hom nie te roei nie, met `n gemaklike stap langs die oewer.<\/p>\n<p>Dit is `n veilige opsie vir mense wat onseker is oor hulle bekwaamheid om vinnig `n situasie te hanteer.\u00a0 Die res van die dag roei ons rustig deur die kranse en die rivier maak weer wyd oop tot waar ons die aand kamp langs die oewer. Hier is die ideale geleentheid vir visvang en ook om mense wat nog nooit vis gevang het nie, bloot te stel daaraan. Ons het tot dusv\u00ear met elke besoek hier baie vis gekry en selfs kinders so jonk soos 4 het al lekker vis hier uitgetrek.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<style type='text\/css'>\n\t\t\t\t#sc_gallery-3 Na ontbyt pak ons die bote, dis gewoontlik die dag wat almal erken hulle het hopeloos te veel gepak vir die Oranje Rivier roei. Die laaste dag is `n gemaklike en rustige roei na die eindpunt. Hierdie is ons laaste kans om die beeldskone landskap en natuur-prag in te neem.
